The Chemical Hazard Data Trust
THE TRUSTED SOURCE FOR CHEMICAL HAZARD DATA
We aim to provide the world’s most trusted and accessible repository of chemical hazard assessments and advance the standards and practices that guide assessment creation, peer review, maintenance, security, and access to support and accelerate the global transition to safer chemistry.
SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY
Our data integrity is protected by a rigorously designed independent process:
Independent Assessment: CHAs are conducted by qualified toxicology firms (Assessors).
Rigorous Verification: Assessments are peer-reviewed by independent toxicologists (Verifiers) to reduce bias.
Standardized Methodology: All CHAs use an enhanced GHS-based method examining over 20 human and environmental impacts and three routes of exposure.
Continuous Quality Control: The ChemFORWARD Science Team maintains leadership through ongoing auditing, data maintenance, and methodology updates.
OUR COMMITMENT
The Chemical Hazard Dat Trust is managed by ChemFORWARD's Science Team and governed by an independent Steering Committee. Our commitment includes:
High Quality
Quality starts with qualified assessors who create and maintain the data and participate in a community of practice for continuous improvement.
Harmonized
Utilizing the leading GHS-based hazard methodologies allows portability of data for varying needs. Harmonized hazard bands allow for easy translation between programs.
Peer-Reviewed
A third-party verification process with independent toxicologists assures assessments are comprehensive, consistent, and credible - thereby increasing user trust.
Best available science
Assessors continually improve data quality and processes by actively participating in a community of practice.
