PPRC x ChemFORWARD

The Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center’s (PPRC) Certification Assistance Program (CAP) and ChemFORWARD partnered to add new ingredients to the U.S. EPA Safer Choice Ingredients List (SCIL).
This project demonstrates the benefits of utilizing the Chemical Hazard Data Trust, a well-established, toxicologist-populated and peer-reviewed digital database of chemical hazard assessments (CHAs, to quickly identify dozens of chemical candidates that could be added to the Safer Chemicals Ingredients List (SCIL).
Fourteen new ingredients (with three more pending final approval) were added to the SCIL.
ChemFORWARD is proud to support the identification and verification of safer chemical alternatives, and thus the availability of safer products on the market through the U.S. EPA Safer Choice certification program.
