David Bourne is the Lead for Environmental Strategy and a founding member of the consumer hardware sustainability team at Google. He develops the strategy and roadmap for product innovation in sustainability for Google's consumer electronics portfolio, with a focus on circular economy principles, including the use of recycled materials and safer chemistry. Prior to Google, he held positions at Nest Labs and Apple.
Mike Delee, Dow
Mike DeLee (Michael DeLee) is the Global Business Product Stewardship Director at Dow in the Packaging and Specialty Plastics and Olefins, Aromatics, and Alternatives business. He leads a global team responsible for product safety and regulatory compliance, tracking chemical regulations, and ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability. With nearly two decades of experience in plastics and polymers, his role is pivotal in driving Dow's circularity initiatives and enabling a circular economy for plastic. He serves as co-chair of the ICCA Additive working group focused on increasing transparency on chemical additives in plastics. He has a degree in Polymer Chemistry from Louisiana State University.
Ame Igharo, Ulta Beauty
Ame Igharo is the Senior Director of Sustainability Strategy at Ulta Beauty. She develops and executes Ulta Beauty's long-term environmental sustainability strategy and manages the Conscious Beauty at Ulta Beauty™ initiative, which focuses on clean ingredients, cruelty-free, vegan, sustainable packaging, and positive impact. She previously worked in marketing at companies like L'Oréal, Shiseido, and Elizabeth Arden before transitioning into the sustainability sector, including a role at EDF+Business.
Art Fong, Ph.D., Apple
Art Fong is the Environmental Technologies Smarter Chemistry Technical Leader at Apple. In this role, he drives Apple's efforts to remove harmful substances from products and develop safer alternatives. He is engaged in collaborative projects to advance the science and practice of green and sustainable chemistry, and serves as co-chair of ChemFORWARD's Technical Advisory Group and is on the Design Team of the Clean Electronics Production Network.
Meg Whittaker, Ph.D., DABT, ToxServices
Dr. Margaret “Meg” Whittaker is the Managing Director and Chief Toxicologist of ToxServices LLC. She is a pioneer in the field of chemicals alternatives assessments, and an accomplished human health risk assessor, chemical hazards assessor, and alternatives assessor. She performs chemical hazard assessments for standards like GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals and the U.S. EPA Safer Choice Program. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and a U.K./EuroTox Registered Toxicologist (ERT).
Heather McKenney, M.P.H., ChemFORWARD
Heather McKenney is the Safer Chemistry Lead at ChemFORWARD. She manages the ongoing development and quality implementation of the ChemFORWARD chemical hazard assessment process and helps industry partners design projects to accelerate safer chemistry adoption. She is a toxicologist and public health professional with previous industry experience in toxicology and product safety at The Honest Company, where she focused on ingredients in personal care, cosmetics, and cleaning products.
Richard Wielechowski, Planet Tracker
Richard Wielechowski is a Senior Investment Analyst at Planet Tracker. He leads projects that analyze industries such as Textiles, Plastics, Advertising, and Petrochemicals to inform professional investors. He has significant experience analyzing and modeling different industries and communicating the results, gained from a decade at sell-side equity firm Bernstein Research covering sectors including Retail, Media, and Medical Devices.
